Hrdvsion, pronounced “hard vision”, and sometimes known as Nathan Jonson, is a Canadian composer dedicated to electronic music with an experimental streak.
Both within and outside of music, Jonson questions the way that things ought to be. Through his productions the outcome has been a consistently impressive and unendingly diverse sound, that distils a myriad of influences into irresistible and diverse dancefloor moments.
Through his long-running association with Wagon Repair, the label co-run by his brother Mathew, Hrdvsion has established himself amongst a prominent roster and refined his vision of art and accessibility. Since relocating to Berlin and releasing the acclaimed album Where Did You Just Go?, his reputation has grown accordingly: he’s the guy providing the DJs with their secret weapons, and the guy winning over the clubbers with standout sets.
In recent times, Hrdvsion has stepped into the Gigolo Records bordello with the 'Right and Tight' EP, blazed up Boiler Room both solo and as Midnight Operator, and crafted high profile remixes for Crosstown Rebels, Phil Kieran and Fool's Gold. Testament to the versatility of his music, he has also released two 12"s on London underground outpost Rinse and bootlegged the likes of Britney Spears and Amerie for a cheeky white label. Whilst always keeping fans guessing, Hrdvsion has maintained an impeccably high-standard across both his released music and performances and with that has come deserved success.
